Not the annual grand tour of two weeks spent somewhere far away, although we do enjoy a bit of foreign travel when we can.
But what we really enjoy is a day or a few days spent somewhere interesting. It might be a weekend in Florence admiring the Duomo. Or it might be a couple of hours strolling round a market town in the Lake District. Or walking up a hill.
We like to punctuate our lives with these short visits to 'nice places' - which make life more fun and more interesting.
