Forum Books, Corbridge

At the weekend we decided to take a trip to Northumberland and explore Corbridge Roman Town, Aydon Castle and some other interesting heritage. We also included Forum Books, in the very pretty small town of Corbridge, in our day out.

We've been planning a trip to Forum Books for a few months, since friends mentioned how lovely it is. We were delighted with this small, but perfectly formed, bookshop! The shop has a very interesting and lovingly curated selection of books. Even though we decided that we didn't "need" any more books, we couldn't help but pick out a small selection.

I picked up a couple of books by a local author - L J Ross. Her first novel, which is a mystery/crime novel - is set on Lindisfarne. As this will be our next Northumberland destination, I thought it would be an interesting book to read for local colour and background.

The selection of books by local authors was really good and provided some inspiration for future reading.

We're planning another trip to Northumberland later in the summer and will be sure to visit Forum Books again.
