The first day of Spring is 20 March and since well before that date the weather has been glorious. We’ve had blue skies, next to no rain, and beautiful sunsets. It’s been reported that, locally, March 2025 was the driest month since records began at Lancaster University in 1967.
Rainfall in March was just one third of the normal average, and half of that fell on a single day - Saturday 22 March. Otherwise it’s been dry, bright and warmish - but still fairly cool at night
