Food and Plant Fair at Hutton-in-the-Forest

On Sunday we spent a very enjoyable few hours at Hutton-in-the-Forest. There was a Plant and Food Fair with lots of plants from all over the North of England, and interesting and delicious food from Cumbrian sellers.

We love Hutton-in-the-Forest, at its heart is a Medieval Pele Tower built in the 14th Century. This was added onto bit-by-bit by successive generations in the local pink sandstone. The result today is an extraordinary house of six distinct architectural periods spanning over 600 years. It's so delightful to sit in the courtyard, admiring the house and sipping delicious coffee.
