On a wet Saturday afternoon we meandered through the Bolton Abbey estate and up Wharfedale to Percevall Hall Gardens, a beautiful woodland garden at the end of a winding lane. We spent a gentle hour wandering around (a small part of) the 24 acres made up of trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders.
