We spent a happy few hours mooching around the PBFA Bookfair at York Racecourse.
The York Bookfair is probably the largest bookfair we attend. Hundreds of dealers spread over three floors, exhibiting thousands of books. It's always very exciting as there might just be one a nugget amongst all the stalls.
We bought a few interesting books this year. There wasn't a "wow" moment, unfortunately, but we shouldn't expect this every year! I do love it when my heart starts beating more quickly and my mouth goes dry! That's the moment when I've spotted a book I've wanted for a long, long time.
It's also great fun to chat to friends and acquaintances who are book buyers and book sellers. It's lovely to hear people talking passionately about books all around us.
We had a thoroughly enjoyeable afternoon and are already looking forward to the York PBFA Bookfair in January!
