Harrogate Bookfair

Yesterday was the PBFA's Illustrated, Children's and Detective Fiction Bookfair in Harrogate.

I always enjoy this bookfair, including as it does many of my favourite genres.

At today's bookfair there were booksellers from all over the UK, selling an excellent selection of books.

We made a number of purchases, including a very lovely early edition of Alan Garner's The Weirdstone of Brisingamen, a couple of Alison Uttley Little Grey Rabbit books and some cosy crime fiction.

A really good haul, as well as some inspiration for a couple of illustrated books we might like to add to our collection.

As  we were in Harrogate we popped into Fodder for some delicious food, then off to Keelham's, near Skipton, for some more food, on our way home.

Finally, before we ended the day in Kirkby Lonsdale for a performane of Jekyll and Hyde, we enjoyed a spot of cheese shopping, and a pizza at Rind, near Settle.

What a fabulous day: books, theatre and food!
