November this year has been ushered in with wind and rain. There are still some hardy leaves on the trees but the glorious colours of early autumn are fading. There are still some apples on the trees and blackberries in the hedgerow but most have been eaten or have fallen onto the grass. The clocks have "gone back" and the nights are drawing in.
But November is still a beautiful month, somewhere between the beauty of early autumn and the beginnings of the festive season.
