Sedbergh and Farfield Mill

After a busy week we opted for a fairly local day out this weekend. Sedbergh was a good choice - only 20 minutes’ drive, nestled in the Howgill Fells, at the western end of the Yorkshire Dales, it has interesting (book) shops, places for a bite of lunch and, just outside the town, Farfield Mill. The mill houses a large number of local artists and crafts-people - paintings, wooden items, ceramics, textiles to name but a few.

We enjoyed a good hour or so browsing the paintings and crafts and returned home with some unique ceramics and other craft items. A lovely afternoon out, without too much driving - perfect!
