We’re never sure whether Spring starts for us on 1st March, the meteorological first day of Spring, or 20th March, the astronomical first day of Spring. But today it certainly has the feeling of Spring in the air, and Chris is in the garden. This is always a good indicator that Winter is coming to an end.
I’m loving the Ladybird What to Look For series of books and have acquired the Spring book, with gorgeous illustrations by Tunnicliffe.
There are signs of Spring everywhere, although there is snow on the hills. Yesterday we saw catkins, snowdrops, daffodils and a few crocuses. The lambs are late this year, but the birds wake me up with their singing every morning. However you measure the seasons, for now, Spring has definitely arrived.
