The National Trust’s Acorn Bank is one of our favourite places to relax for a couple of hours. Its gorgeous gardens, full of fruit trees, herbs and flowers, are different every time we visit.
Our latest visit, last Saturday, was perfect. The fruit trees are showing tiny versions of their final fruits, there are colourful flowers all through the borders, and the herb leaves are still soft enough to make a perfect salad.
