Having returned home from France, we couldn’t avoid the heatwave entirely. Temperatures peaked at about 37 degrees last Thursday (25 June) and have, thankfully, dropped rapidly since then. So hot was it that we closed our business every afternoon last week, and the whole of Thursday.
A few days on and everything seems to be far more normal, with today’s high of 19 degrees. Was it all just a dream?
