Liverpool’s Sefton Park is a Victorian masterpiece. At a time when exotic things were being brought back from distant parts of the empire, the Palm House housed tropical plants for local people to be amazed by.
By the end of the 20th century it had fallen into disuse but a refurbishment programme has restored it to its former glory. We enjoyed lunch in the café and I then took some photos of the tropical plants which fill the building.
