It’s easy to see why Poe’s works have inspired others, not just in the literary world. The first album released by the Alan Parsons Project, in 1976, entitled Tales of Mystery and Imagination, collected a wealth of leading artists of the day to deliver their interpretation of Poe’s tales. It was an immediate hit.
