Gilbert O'Sullivan

In 2024 we saw Gilbert O'Sullivan at the Philharmonic in Liverpool . He was absolutely fantastic and we loved every minute of the concert.

So, imagine our delight when we spotted his new tour, and this time he was visiting the Grand Theatre in Lancaster. I immediately booked tickets, but back in the summer September seemed a long way off. The date eventually came round, and on Monday we enjoyed a couple of hours of excellent vocals, piano playing and a brilliant guitarist.

Gilbert O'Sullivan sang some new songs from his soon-to-be released album, as well as lots of old and older favourites. He took us through the decades of his career, as he celebrated 60 years of music!

The concert was as brilliant as last time; at 80 he hasn't lost his voice and his new songs are as beautiful as ever.

I've been a Gilbert O'Sullivan fan since I bought I'm a Writer Not a Fighter as a child. I think it was one of, if not my first, album. I loved his songs then, and I love them now. Alone Again; Get Down; Ooh Baby and so many more.

What a smashing evening!
