Yesterday we enjoyed a splendid evening with Simon Armitage at the Daffodil Hotel, Grasmere. Simon Armitage is such a wonderful raconteur with a wealth of funny stories and he reads his poems so beautifully.
Armitage is known for his sharp wit, grounded observations of everyday life, and surprising comedic timing during live performances.
The Daffodil Hotel is a great venue, even on a cool, wet evening, the view of the lake was stunning and we were even joined by some Herdwick sheep!
