Winnie the Pooh at 100

"Pooh, promise you won’t forget about me, ever. Not even when I’m a hundred" Christopher Robin implores Winnie the Pooh in the final chapter of AA Milne’s The House at Pooh Corner. This week Winnie the Pooh himself turned 100, and he certainly hasn’t been forgotten.

Winnie the Pooh, illustrated by EH Shepard, was published on 14 October 1926 and is one of the most successful children's books of all times. The characters, created by A A Milne, have a timeless quality which help them live for generation after generation of children, and adults, too!

Happy Birthday Winnie the Pooh. Here's to another 100 years!
